Do you ever have one of those days when you feel like the life has been sucked out of you? I’m feeling that way today. I’m tired, bored, and just a bit down. Maybe it’s the let down after the birthday… I don’t know.
However, I do know that when I go home tonight, not only will I see The Dude, but I will also see these knuckleheads.
Jessie, Sadie and Bailey – My Three Girls
They each have distinctive personalities, but they all make me smile.
Bailey is the “Grande Dame” of the three. She’s 14 and she’s earned the right to rule the roost. She may be a bit slower than the others, but Bailey can still party when she wants to…
And then we have Sadie. Sadie is the only purebred of the bunch and I think she likes to lord it over the other dogs. She’s pretty, she knows it, and boy does she have a stubborn streak! But she is also the most loving, empathetic creature, and her unbridled happiness at dinner time is something to behold.
Finally, there is Jessie. What can I say about this crazy little dog? She found me at the dog pound back in 2003. She barked and barked and barked at me, refusing to be ignored. I couldn’t resist. I thought she was a sweet pup who would calm down once she was released from the shackles of the dog pound. Boy, was I wrong. Jessie still refuses to be ignored. Even at seven-years-old, she still acts like a puppy. Eating paper and running around the yard as fast as she can are her hobbies.
And here is my favorite one of Jessie…
So, how could I be tired, bored and down with these three around?
